Olivia Douglass

Olivia Douglass ;is a British Nigerian writer and artist born in Lewisham, South London to an English mother and Nigerian father. ;Douglass ;grew up between Wiltshire and West Somerset, before returning to London. Their writing navigates themes of desire, memory and experiments in living. ;Douglass ;is the author of poetry pamphlets ;Unruly Blood ;(2024) and ;Slow Tongue ;(2018). Their short story ;Ink ;won the ;Guardian ;and 4th Estate 4thWrite Prize in 2022, marking a transition into fiction. ;Douglass's ;debut novel, ;Salt, will be published by VERVE Books in June 2027.
